For the past few years, the first few days of September have been engulfed by the uncontainable excitement surrounding the launch of new Apple products. From Steve Jobs to Tim Cook, Apple has come a long way with its iPhone, iPad, and numerous other products that have revolutionized the digital frontier across the world.

The Apple Event on Wednesday did not fail in garnering eyeballs from audience and experts from the industry. With most of its executives in black, probably paying a tribute to their company’s founder, the event was high on vigor and innovation.

Tim Cook began the event with Apple Watch and how it was changing the way people perceive the idea of fitness. With Siri and Apple Pay adding an array of options to the Watch, there was a declaration of over 10,000 apps being available on the App Store, including Facebook Messenger which is going to make its debut soon.

Apple Watch lovers had some good news coming their way as the company is all set to introduce two new Apple Watch finishes; Rose gold and anodized aluminum, along with a bunch of new straps. Also inculcating the new Operating System, the watch will come with the option of a red sports band.

The biggest surprise and shock of the evening came with the news of iPad, or as Cook chose to define it, “the biggest iPad news since iPad”. Quoted as the most powerful iPad ever created, the new version comes with a larger scale, software keyboard integrated into the cover, a piano keyboard, and the excellence of iOS 9 allowing the user to multitask.

With a 12.9 inch display, equal to that of Macbook, 5.6 million pixels, 4-speaker audio system balancing itself left and right, the new A9X chip making it 1.8 times faster, GPU with a performance exceeding its contemporaries, the new iPad pro is an answer to the conventional desktop systems, putting almost all of them to shame.

The shock came in the form of Apple Pencil. Apple enthusiasts would remember Steve Job who considered stylus to be a symbol of failure. Costing $99, Apple Pencil is designed to enthrall iPad users.

Surely, the introduction of Apple Pencil left many people in the audience spellbound. Quoting one of them, “I am happily shocked…Apple Pencil is something I have longed for as an iPad user for years. With larger screen area, better keyboard options, and an inculcated stylus, Apple surely takes the battle to conventional PCs and laptops.”

Integration of Microsoft Office into the iPad just takes it closer to the business fraternity. Wall Street must be thrilled by this idea. IPad, with all its functionalities, now caters to the casual user, business user, and even an amateur user.

Apple Event is an amalgamation of ideas and innovation, focusing on people wary of technology, and drawing them closer to the digital world. Apple are hopeful the iPad Pro, together with other products launched in the event; iPhone 6s, Apple TV, and Apple Watch, will help usher Apple into a new age of technology.
